So guess what my New Year's resolution is? To give this blog some freakin love!! I mean it this time though, I swear! I'm going to update this on a daily basis...or at least several times a week. Hope you are following through with your resolutions as well.
I admit I did watch some episodes of Rock of Love with Bret Michaels and yes, it is about as dumb as a television show could possibly be. Bret's alright, but my 2 year old nephew has a higher IQ than most of the girls. Apparently they made a spin off of a spin off out of it with Rock of Love Charm School with Sharon Osbourne hosting. They taped a reunion show a few weeks back and everyone was talking about a fight between one of the girls, Megan, and Sharon. Well now we've got the video. Sucks the camera went to a crowd shot right as Sharon went at her, but it's still pretty entertaining. Sure it could have all been staged but Megan did go to the hospital and file a police report. Everyone knows you don't talk sh*t about Ozzy around Sharon!!

So the end of the year is up and I starting feeling a little nostalgic. I was remembering what my favorite thing to on Saturday mornings and it was to watch American Bandstand. My sisters, Barbara, Linda and I would help clean up the house and have everything ready so that we could be in front of our black and white television at 12noon to see the man - Dick Clark. My favorite parts were the spot light dance and then of course each summer they had the dance contest. I will have to say the contests in the 70's were slightly better than the 80's. But I loved them all. I was so sad they day they stopped showing it and I really wish that TV Land would add this to their line up.
Hope you enjoy the videos. You will be shocked to know who one of the bands is that was on American Bandstand.
Enjoy!

Last week I was telling my sister Linda about my whole quest for Cheesy Christmas songs. I asked her if she could help me come up with some more songs. The next day she calls and low and behold we have a winner for Day #6.
It is so stupid, I could not stop laughing.
Enjoy!

So I couldn't continue my cheesy Christmas song list without this one. It's so cheesy but come on, it's a Beatle that sings it and you have to admit that it does put you in the holiday mood.
Enjoy!!!

I love this song and I LOVE this group. But this video is sooooooo cheesy, it's greatness. I love this group to this day, that I even listen to their greatest hits CD all the time. It's always in my car. Who is it? Well, I will give you a clue. One of them is known for his mustache. It's probably the most famous 80's mustache next to Tom Selleck. Hope you enjoy it's cheesy goodness.
Have a great weekend.

This song is so stupid but I still laugh every time I hear it. And you can be sober and still find this funny. So there is no video but it's still funny.
Enjoy!

Like I blogged yesterday, I have just not been in the holiday spirit so I am trying to do something to lift my spirits. What better way to lift my mood than with cheesy Christmas songs? If you are keeping count, yesterday' song was "Step into Christmas" by Elton John. And today, well you will have to click on the video to find out. Even though it's filled cheesy deliciousness, I still LOVE it.

I've been trying to get into the holiday spirit. So far no luck. I don't know why I am feeling this way. Is it the recession? Is it b/c I'm broke like everyone else? Who knows. So, I decided to make myself get into the spirit. Every day I am going to post a Christmas song. This is the cheesiest one I can think of as of today so it has the honor of being the first in the series. Break out the wine and chips but here comes the cheese.
Enjoy!

So today on Pugs & Kelly, Pugs and Blake were talking about 80's music. Let me rephrase that. Blake says he knows 80's music so Pugs started asking him trivia about certain 80's songs. Unfortunately, Blake didn't know any of the answers. I did point and laugh. LOL!!!
So it got me to thinking of all the cheesy 80's songs that I love. This one I totally loved and still love to this day. Actually, I even brought out this cassette the other day and gave it a listen. When I first bought this cassette, I listened to it like crazy. I was shocked that has actually held up after 22 years. Ahh, good times.
I miss cassettes. I loved my cassette player. Well it was 1983, so it was techinally a "jam box". It was huge. My big brother, Steve, bought it for me when I was 13 years old and had it until I was 21. I loved that thing. I remember waking up every Sunday morning to listen to Casey Kasem's Top 40 to record my favorite songs. GREATNESS!!!
Okay, so I have totally strayed from my original thought - I love 80's music. Enjoy and have a great weekend!
